1995 F250 Diesel Fuel System problems
<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --><TABLE width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top> My Original info:
The fuel filter light comes on the rear tank and starts stalling. I have to switch to the front tank and then when at a light or turning it stalls out when I am on the front tank.. I have put in new fuel pump, transfer valve between the tanks and a few other things. My friend says the hoses to the tanks are not right and I need a schematic for a F250 1995 Diesel 7.3L
I have also cleaned out both tanks and removed the "socks". Also both tanks do not register fuel levels now. I have owned this truck since July. Problem started when have 2 months of running bio fuel the guy switched (without telling me first) that he changed his mixture of Oil 80% and diesel 20% to all oil!
I am not mechanical I have a mechanic friend trying to help me. He said to ask, " Need the routing diagram for the diesel fuel system source and return of fuel, tthere is a mix up in the lines, they look like when you cross your fingers." He did not try to blow out lines but will. When he was replacing the fuel transfer valve and had the switch inside truck switched to front tank, there was fuel spraying out of the discontected lines to the front tank. That should not be happening.
Can anyone help? Thanks

Each tank has a supply and return line. All four lines go to a valve on the drivers side just in front of the front tank. From this valve a supply and return line head up to the engine compartment. The valve should be labeled supply and return. The wires that control the gauges also run through that valve...
After losing prime there will be some residual air bubbles in the fuel rails, this could be the reason for "when at a light or turning it stalls out when I am on the front tank". You can open the fuel bowl and look to see if you have fuel at the filter.
