Escape transmission fluid change
Is it true that there's no pan on the Escape trans? How are we supposed to change the fluid?

95 turbo diesel is starting off with a positive reputation.
The escape 4 speed automatic CD4E,has a side pan,however you cannot change the filter unless you remove the trans and take it apart.There is a drain plug to drain and fill it or have it flushed .

Took mine to mr lube and it was a breeze.. They used Esso oil and the tranny is better than before, more crisp and defined shifts.. I'm happy.

I strongly agree in regular maintance,the escape is a great vehicle.
