need a little help please

hi guys, I have recently been building a scale rc trail truck and I put a 77 bronco body on it. and Ii has got me wanting a real 1:1 bronco. anyway I found a 73 ford bronco in the town where I live and it's just sitting and never gets drove by the current owner so I have been thinking about asking him if he would be interested in selling it to me. But I was wondering if anybody here could maybe tell me how much it would be worth, it will need a new interior and a new wireing harness. but as far as the motor and the drivetrain I don;t know if that will need to be replaced or not. it doesn't need hardly any body work either. it will need a radio and some work to the dash. so if any one here could let me know how much they think that it would be worth it would be great just to get me in the ballpark on what it's really worth. thanks

Too many factors involved. 99% of the time there is rust, just need to look in the right places. Check frame carefully, door and striker posts, inner rockers and the bottom ends where posts overlap. Floor boards, tailgate, quarter panels, and braces underneath will be pretty easy to see. Original, unmolested rust is easier to fix than a PO patch job. Ballpark? $1500

yeah I have looked at the bronco and the rear quarter panels have a bit of rust coming through where the seem is between the lower panel and the top panel and the front driver side fender has some body filler that is flaking off. so the body will need a little work. but the under side of the body has all been undercoated. but the tranny pan is leaking and the transfer case has been leaking also. so those two things will need to be fixed also. so is 1500 a fair offer?

Dunno where you are in UT, but if you're close to that Bird Refuge southwest of Brigham City, there's a early Bronco sitting next to a house on the northside of Forest RD west of I-15. From the looks of it...it hasn't moved in years.

Front fenders are easy, rear quarters not. It would have to start for $1500. Try jumper cables and a little starting fluid to see if it at least will fire and not froze up. The last 3 I bought weren't running but I've been lucky. The leaks are common. All depends on how your skills are. You can't pay someone to do the work and make it worth while. Better to save money and buy one actually licensed and on the road. But, just my opinion.
