Jack, I haven't seen any show dates yet this year, there is some generic car shows around N.MS. There's a good show in Tupelo called Blue Suede Cruise, some of the guys from up there could tell you about that one. Why don't you go ahead and join the Mississippi chapter, doesn't cost a thing. yea same here!!! Hey 3golfjack, how far along are you on you're 56?
If theres a light at the end of the tunnel I haven,t spotted it yet. At this time I am working on the chassis redoing the suspension on the front and rear. I,ve got a Headts mustang II front end I,ve been working on.You could say I got a ways to go.Been working a lot of 12,s at work which is great for parts money but lousy for time to work on the 56
Hi Layed Out 100
See you list a 53 F100 you are working on what stage are you at? Have you been lucky about finding any old F100,s setting anywhere. Went to Rogers Salvage on Star Landing Rd. He had one 56 which had a tree growing tru it. Didn,t have any thing worth using. Also did get a few parts at Simpsons in Arlington, but they are closed down now. There is a old F100 parts place on Summer Av. in Memphis which has some funny store hours. Something like two days a week in the afternoon.Never been able to make that time table.
I have a friend of mine doing the frame work for me down south Ms......we grew up together working on low riders(he was the one who done all our clubs frame work back then) He is slow but the best I know. Right now it is stripped down to just the frame, and we are planning on getting it to a roller before I pick it back up and bring it to Hernando. I would have loved to do it all myself but he is just better that I am. As of right now I have all the new front end parts and air bags, material for the four link, and the LT1 motor/transmission waiting. I have had the truck for a long time and its killing me not to be able to drive it or even see it.
I know what you are going thru with working the 12s, I work construction and thats the same for me. I used to travel and that money was parts money.....now working in Memphis so I lost all the travel money, perdiem money, truck rent money. Now its just the payroll check for all the hours I can get. Right now I am working six 12.5s
