Well it's been pretty cold here the last few weeks but even in the winter they seem to make my butt pretty cold. It's a funny sensation when they get to there low point as it feels like your butt is wet lol. In the summer i would of thought they would be great. The seats in my wifes car get so hot that you cant sit on them with bare skin and they are light grey leather so im sure they are going to be good for darker leather. No more sweaty bum cracks thats for sure. I think they are a standard option when you buy the upgraded captain chairs so better to have it than not have it.

The cooled seats are great and plenty cool. It was 81 out a couple of weeks ago when I test drove a Lariat with the cooled seats, and had to turn them down not too far into the test drive. But like Bsimmer said they come with the captain chairs on the Lariat and up, but are not available on the XL, XLT, or FX4.
