5" backspacing is a bit much, it might rub on the tie rod ends and radius arms. Stock Ranger / BII backspacing is 4.5", and I know of one person who had bad luck using stock Jeep rims on his BII.
thats right, i tried to use ranger rims once, they rubbed on the ball joints. i couldnt remember what the spacing was. if you want to use the jeep rims, maybe look into a set of spacers...
Almost all early 4x4 Ford trucks (F series included) came with 50/50 backspacing. Stock wheel was 15x6 on a B2/Ranger. So, 3-3.5 inches of back spacing is what the stock wheels had. 5" is too much and will not fit properly.
Okay, now I'm trying to figure out how for the life of me when I put on steel wheels with 3.75" backspacing, the wheels and tires stick out farther and have less inner coverage over the rotor, etc., other than the steelies are 15x8.....
