Banks Exhaust brake for power stroke desiel.

I have a 2002 F350 with the PSD. I have heard a lot about the banks kit for an exhaust brake. When I bought the truck it came with a video that strongly discouraged the use of an exhaust brake. Why do they didscourage the use of a brake? Does it cause any harm to my truck? About how much do they cost, and how hard are they to install?

Banks Exhaust brake for power stroke desiel.

It can harm your truck. The engine isn't designed for use with an exhuast brake. If your truck is under warranty, you may have problems if it causes damage to your engine.
