background... back in august of 05 i got laid off and decided to go back to school.. well with a new car payment, school tuition, and other bills all the money i had saved lasted me about 5 semesters...parents agreed to cover what bills i did have since i still live at home... and so long as i passed my classes i didnt have to pay them back..
well while going to college i tried to find something part time but the problem with my area is no one really wants to work about class schedules.. so i gave up on that and started going full time... I finished up in August of 07 but didnt get to graduate till actually December of 07.. (with a 4.0 GPA i might add) but i started looking for work again. back in 08....
My problem is im stuck in that Catch 22 spot... to get the job i went to school for i need experience to get the jobs... but i cant get a job in it to get the experience... which i went to school for Welding... orginally it was just something fun to do cuz i wanted to learn how... found out i was excellent at it... and went of it as my major... ive had people i went for interviews with tell me my welds are better than people theyve seen doing it for 20 yrs... i just wish someone would hire me already... im tired of filling out apps already...

Hey I totally understand that. I went to college and went stupid, I wish I did not do that. But I am thinking about taking a couple of classes at night, but that is hard being a rancher. In Chugwater, Wyoming it is real hard to get a job, the population is only 244 people. So you either go to cheyenne or go to wheatland to get a job. I can get a job at the mine in Gillett but that is almost 200 miles away. Been thinking about it, but dont know.

yeah.. for me my stupidity was "hey i dont need a college degree" when i got outta hs so i went out and got what ever jobs i could get... 3 yrs later i got tired of working my butt of for min wage and still not making nothing... i was working 16 hr days at one job 5 days a week... for 7.50 an hr... coming home with barely 250-300 a week after taxes got finished with it... sleeping pretty much the whole weekend.. got another job with steady hrs after that one when i got let go cuz it was the end of the season and got something with more stable hrs and a little better pay but wasnt much... after that one i was when i went back...

But would not trade anything in my life for all of my past. That is how everyone learns. And I even had time go to college for two years and thanks to my dad he help raise jeff and my ex helped too.
