Overhauling my 85 F150

The 460 was a moderate-aggressive build intended to be a reliable daily driver with some go go on demand, although it won't be driven in winter. I'm putting a lot of time in to the detail and appearance and plan to drive to and enter a car show, enter a burnout competition or run a 100ft vs and drive home. I decided against rewiring it for a trailer or putting the new hitch on, but based on pre-tear down measurements, I should still be able to get 500-600lbs in the bed without worrying about tire clearance. Summer road trips, in town errands, or some casual pavement pounding ! It won't see anything like a load of gravel, but if I had to grab lumber, furniture or something like that no problem.

I'm just running generic Monroe Gas Magnum's for now. Depending how it feels after some break in miles, or if they aren't right for the 460 application and fooling around, I'll start researching with the aim for something with adjustability.
I was going to go with the shocks that DJM offers, but these shocks (new, I already had) were only an inch difference between max compression and extension of what DJM offers.

No news for you gentlemen. I put the chassis and MANY parts into an enclosed trailer to free up the shop for a few months. The cab was left behind to tackle that first when time allows, but the side-less box was bolted on. It was nice to get a tease of the new ride height No pictures as I was trying to beat the weather.

Thanks for the concern Ron haha. I had the truck out of the shop to get other things done over the summer, hoping to bring it back in within the coming weeks. Once things get rolling again, I'll give some pictures. I did find a pair of full power leather buckets from a Range Rover that I plan to fit up as I do my cab work, thats about it!
