Overhauling my 85 F150

You beat me to it. I was hoping to update you guys in a month or so.
The new shop is still going up, once it's done I'll bring the chassis out of storage and keep it here with me. I don't want that chassis here until mudding/taping, painting is all complete. 18'x35' with 13' vaulted ceiling. 240V for compressor and two 240V welding receptacles. 82' worth of lighting to go up including 4 boxes on the walls for lighting near wheel wells for brakes or waxing, etc. Ethernet, 5"x8" overhead beam, a direct vent forced air 60K BTU heater
The body is still at my dads place untouched. However, we bought a box dolly shown with my donor bed (and '72 F-250 Highboy) and old cab. My donor cab is in his garage on a rotisserie! Body work will be a breeze now.
I love pictures as much as you guys, soon. This project is being completed and that's a promise.

I'm finally calling my garage complete to a point where I can comfortably work in it. All it needs now is doors on the cabinets, bench, and breaker panel. The beer fridge is plugged in so I brought my chassis out of storage .... after four years
Still looks sexy though!
Something moved during transport and put a crease in the passenger side turndown off the electric exhaust cutout that you can see. A little bit of work to cut and weld for replacement that could've been avoided unfortunately.
The majority of the painted/powder coated pieces have held up 100%. The block is lightly speckled but I believe it would end up how it looks now after two months and some heat so that likely won't be fixed. Almost everything aluminum has some surface oxidation to it. It wipes away with a wet finger so with the right cleaner, I should be able to recover it all with some elbow grease.
The wheels are also tarnished. This rear one is probably the worst. I'll see how they clean up but I'll think about entertaining a rechrome or powder coat. I also don't want anything to happen to them because you can't get these 15x10 with this back spacing in our bolt pattern any more...
That will be it for the summer as I enjoy some sun. But with the photo bucket mess, I'll work on transferring everything over and fixing my links now that we can edit posts from when I first got this underway!

I like the shop also. My garage floor is smooth and I fear if oil gets on it, it will be a slip/fall issue. It would have been nice to paint the floor before put things in it but did not have the time to do so.
Funny you have a frige before anything else!
When I moved into this house we did not need the extra frige we brought down with us so in my garage it went along with the extra microwave.
It is in the shop part of my garage.
Where was the frame stored to get that bad? That 1 wheel looks pretty bad.
My truck frame & cab floor have gotten dirty from other work I have done on the truck but it is gone to be a work truck so not a big deal for me.
Now enjoy the summer so you can hit that project hard!
Oh keep the pictures coming.
