Transmission Learning Reset??

Is it possible to reset the transmission to relearn driving patterns? I purhcased a used 08 Exp EL 4X4 and wondered if that was possible or if would just continue to relearn as I drove?
I also don't have any OBD or other readers or programmers if that was needed.
