Want to Supercharge my Excusion...

It's a 2002 V-10. Was wondering if there was a big difference between the 99-01 V-10 and the 2002. All of the kits that I have seen stop at 2001. I talked to a guy at Paxton and he said there just wasn't a demand to test the later years. So my Question is will this kit work on my truck and if not what would I need to do to supercharge my truck. Thanks for the help Paxton Automotive - Supercharging Systems For The 1998-2002 V-10 Ford Truck & SUV It says 1999-2002 on the link but says 2001 on the site

I also want to supercharge my 2000 Excursion. I am looking for a little help with some numbers. I plan on working on the following: air intake, cam, heads, headers, egnition system, fuel pump, fuel nozzles and exhaust. However I would like to make sure that I am putting the right combination together before I start spending money. Any help would be awesome before the wife changes her mind!

Don'T quote me on this, but I think that if you bought that kit it would bolt up to your newer motor and all you would need to do is get a custom tune to make it run, call and ask the guys down there to see if that works,

Also see if your v10 has an EGR, I have never personally seen one but have heard of some coming with one, my guess is that it was the 99-01 model with the non PI heads, If that is the case it might mess up the install so I would ask the guy about that to.

Do your research and you might find that it will work with a little extra time and money, or just do a custom turbo set up

If you get lucky you can pick one up off ebay, I see a kenne bell or a whipple go through about 1 or 2 a year

I don't know if this is still viable for you, but I also did the research. The only company that has any supercharger kit at all for the Ford V10 is Paxton. See message below from Paxton.

If you can do it yourself or know someone that can, then this is the way to go.

Thank you for your interest in Paxton. We do not have a kit specific for this application. However the 98-01 V10 kit will physically fit. You would need to find someone to tune your vehicle and build<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

What does Paxton use for the fuel system on the 99-01 kits?

This coming Saturday I am going to help a friend install a ProCharger P1SC on hiw 2000 5.4 F250. The ProCharger uses an inline pump and FMU.

A centrifugal supercharger has very little bottom end and isnt the best forced induction setup for a truck or the V-10.

A top mount supercharger is the best way to go. Since no one longer makes a kit, I will be very soon for those with the need for boost.

I'd bolt a large Whipple or KB Twin Screw supercharger on top of that 5.4.

I dont think much has changed on the V10
The install will take a day with a buddy and a 12 pack :-)
the only problem is youll have to have your ECM flashed and a module.
when you buy the kit from PAXTON the flash is included in the price and
has a quick turn around (like 2 to 3 days).
I installed mine and it works great.

Might be easier to do a hidden rear-turbo setup from STS.
