Smile Curious about the 2.3L Diesel in the Ranger

Can somebody point me to a forum with some activity on that little Diesel truck.
I had a D-50 with the Turbo 2.3L Mitsubishi and liked it.
I'd have another Diesel if I could find one of the little Ford Rangers with 4X4 and the 2.3L Diesel.

Anybody have any ideas at all?

Those Ranger diesels were rare beasts. If it what I think it was, it's a Mazda 2.0 litre diesel engine. Same as was put in the Ford Escorts in the mid 1980's.

The first diesel Ranger was with the 2.2 Mazda. (The 2.0 Mazda for for the Escort/Tempo) Then Ford went to the 2.3 Mitsubishi diesel in the Ranger. You could not get the 4X4 with the Mazda, only the Mitsubishi.

Wink

Good info, thanks.
My D-50 had the Missshi. I had some problems with it but as a general statment of my opinion of that engine, I'd buy another one!

Do you happen to know of anybody with one?
