hanger bearing

Hey all,
I've got an 06 f150 extended cab, long box,4x4 and the hanger bearing went xmas eve.The bearing is part of the drive shaft and is not covered by the warrenty. It's $1300 for a new shaft but there isn't one to be found in Canada or the US.Would a driveline specialty shop be able to help me? Or have you any other ideas? Thanks

Wow, Ford can't get the part???? Is that just one dealers line of BS or did you check other sources? If that's the case, that's pretty pathetic.

That's the way my 2002 was. It had a hangar bearing on it. I had a bent shaft though. I thought the manufacturers were required by law to have parts available for 10 years?

I don't think your drive shaft is servicable through ford, but i'd try a local driveline shop...and see what they can do....there was a recent thread about this...i might look back a few weeks and see what everyone else said...
