F350 T18 swap clutch questions
The C6 in my '91 F350 is in bad shape. It looks like it was literally cracked in half at one point and welded back together, and it's leaking fairly badly. After trying to pull another at the junkyard today it hit me that I should just go to manual instead. A ZF would be nice, but I can't find them around here and I don't have the money to buy one. I do however have plenty of T18's. I know about the gearing, but really I had no overdive already and the 460 has plenty of power so why not. Now to my question. What flywheel do I need? I see that there is a 12" clutch with the 1 1/16" disc, but what flywheel do I need to match up with that clutch? Also, can I use a hydro clutch on a late 70's cast iron bell from a 400? If not, what linkages would I need? Thanks.
