cylinder head identication Y-Block 292

Can you identify what type of cylinder head you have while head is on block? Would you have to remove them to Id?I know a fellow that has several Y-blocks, would like to get ECZ E-F heads.

Yes. Go to FORD Y and read the section on head ID. Then have a rag, solvent, mirror, and good eye glasses ready for use.

Wagonwrench,

If I am reading your question correctly, you are looking for ECZ E-F heads?
I cannot say I have ever seen ECZ followed by E or F's. ECZ-A, B, C and G and the normal ID.

Are you talking about E or F code ENGINE heads? An E code car/ engine (dual quad) would have ECZ-G heads. And F code car/ engine (supercharged) would have a head with a lower compression ratio. Don't know ID, I think the 113's were replacement heads tho.

But check the site 46yblock suggested for the most extensive list of Y-Block Heads.

Y-Blockhead, after checking numbers, you are correct in what you say. Have a C2AE block with C heads would like to get a set of the ECZ heads and 4 barrel intake to up power when we rebuild it. Thanks for your help.
