Installed new wheel.. audio control issue

Hey all... I installed a new steering wheel with leather and audio/heater controls on my 05 XLT screw with stock single disk H.U. I ran a swc wire from the clockspring plug #3 to the radio plug #18 as per a previous post on f150online . The steering wheel volume works perfect but the mem button doesnt seem to work right. I thought the mem button was supposed to scan the presets. Instead, the mem button when rocked to the right scans to the next station with a good signal. when rocked to the left it chooses am...fm1...fm2. Any help would be appreciated.

that is what the button is supposed to do...have you made your presets?

right: should go to through your preset stations, and change cd tracks
left: select between cd/aux/am/fm

I have set the pre sets but the mem button right just scans to the next available station, not the next pre set. to the left switches from am to fm1 to fm2 only. No aux or cd. It wasnt too hard to do really, I bought a leather wheel with cruise/audio/heater buttons new on ebay for $100.00, ran a wire from the clockspring to the radio and thats about it. I have a link to some better instructions if anyone is interested. I also disabled that annoying door open dinger while I was in there.

This is the thread I went by, helped alot. I still have the problem though of the mem button not scanning pre sets. Instead it scans to the next available station with a good signal. Anyone else run across this?
