Larger tire size

Hi everyone. Back in october I bought an new 08 XL no frills truck, and I love it. Two of the up grades I did was to go from 17 inch to 18 inch wheels. I also installed a Ford cruise control unit. Today my truck was at the dealer to have the cruise programed and my speedo recalibrated. The cruise was no problem but I was told they can't do anything about my speedo, they tried to program it but it wouldn't take. Can any of you tell me if this is right or if there is another way to deal with this. Thanks

A programer will fix it, and give you a little more power.

something isn't right there. either they're incompetant, or they don't have the proper tools, or your instrument cluster/PCM is bad

did they really release the truck without figuring out why the PCM won't update?

but yeah, a programmer can/will fix your speedo

Yes they released the truck and even charged me for it. What I find confusing is the fact that you can order this truck with 18 inch wheels. There even Ford wheels I bought on Ebay.
