Lets keep McGhee in our thoughts. He will have some of the best medical care there in Pittsburgh.

Its great to win but not when anyone gets hurt that badly.

Sorry to bring it down...

He sure took a hell of a wallop.

It's definitely a dangerous game.

Congrats Steelers on your win, thats awesome!!

I really thought the Eagles were gonna pull it off in the third quarter there

Thats good though for AZ to have a shot at the super Bowl.

I'm with you there Joe, you never want to see a guy permanently disabled. When I saw him lying there I felt for him. I injured my neck and spinal cord in a fall and was temporarily paralyzed, when the paralysis wore off the pain in my neck, arms and hands was indescribable. I just got back from getting a steroid injection to the neck and it's not working anymore. Friday I have to see my orthopedic doctor and schedule another surgery. This will be my second, they have to open the spinal column and graft new bone in to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord. I just figure it's the price you pay if you want to play hard, just like our trucks. Build it, break it, repeat.

I'm going to be rooting hard for the Steelers to win #6. My home town team is the Eagles, but I've always been a Steelers fan. My five favorites in order are; NFC- Eagles, Green Bay, Washington. AFC- Pittsburgh, Kansas City, my wild card team is anyone who beats Dallas.

Saturday night and I'm bored. Nothing on T.V. I really want to watch and my pockets are bare. Usually I would hook up with some friends and roam a bit, eventually setting up at a local coffee shop with karaoke. Two 24oz. Vietnamese with double shots of espresso helps get you amped for the night. Around eight everyone starts to pop in. A very mixed group of people, the local bike crew, the goths, headbangers, 70's leftovers who don't realize disco is dead, the intellectuals, alternatives, classic rockers, rat pack fans, soccer moms, old musicians who played with some of the 50's rock legends, the normals and guys like me. If I see some one pull up in a Ford I try to recruit them, usually I just get funny stares and a nodding head. Considering the group that congregates there I wouldn't think a Ford Truck Enthusiast would seem so odd, guess I'm a little out of touch with their reality.

What do some of you guys do on a Saturday night?

I try to spend time with my kids and wife. I was at a Scion event last night ( i sell them with Toyotas). we sponsoered a movie event - That vampire movie - popular with the slackers. Then we went over to Buffalo Wild Wings and hung out & ate for a while. I got to curl up on the couch with my wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs. It was the best time ive spent in weeks.

Surfing for stuff to do to my x also. Ordered the y pipe from SPD perf yesterday. Conmsidering a Series 70 muffler - want to be quiet above all - with more performance. MAybe FIPK too.. Lots for an intellectual Ford guy to consider...

I'm with you on that couch thing Joe. My wife and I had New Years alone for the first time in over twenty years, we did the snuggle thing and fell asleep that way. Had most of the 1st. alone until mid afternoon when the crew came in, six kids with spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends and thirteen grand children. The rest of the day was lively, so we really enjoyed the alone time.

We really enjoy when the kids are at a sleepover or just playing at another house for a few hrs. We are going to dom something all together tomorrow tho. The last week of the month, I usually work bell 2 bell everyday. Sales keep flowing that way.

Yuo sure had a crapload of peple at your house. Lively is putting it mildly! Im sure that you wouldnt trade it for the world tho, huh?

I goin to bed now. See you all tomorrow. Try not to be too bored.

That's why Carlisle is such a good thing for us Joe, it gives the members time to get cash together and plan for it. My wife and I are going to make a long week of it this year and go to some of the local sights and some music fair.

Regional meets are good for the guys in a general area to get to know one another. I've been remiss on getting us more organized locally, hopefully when I'm done with this physical stuff I'll be more on the ball.

The Delaware and Maryland guys put a lot of co-operative effort into their chapter. Some of them have experience from another site so they knew where to kick off from. They do a great job and hopefully in the near future Pa. will become as cohesive.
