Cool A piller gauge mount question

Hi guy I have a 81 f-150 I want to put my gauges on the piller but I can only find the piller mounts for late 80 truck will they work? If not where could i find mounts to fit my truck or do i have to mod the mounts for late 80 trucks?

The 87-96 style pillar has a long flat section with a short curve in it. I am thinking the 81 is more like my 79, there was no plastic pillar cover and it was a pretty sharp corner. The superduties pillar pod might work with a lot of messaging, and Dodge durango (late 90s) might do as well.

If the pillar is bare metal, your going to be further ahead using the cups some gauges come with.
