Recreational beverage
Noticed a 48 F1 (I think) on a bottle label yesterday. Normally I would pass it off as something cheap but this one is from Deschutes Brewery and it's called Hop Trip. For those who have graduated from coors light and pbr, this stuff doesn't suck. I do like a good recreational beverage.
Deschutes is the brewery I contacted last summer about having their logo painted on the doors of my truck when it's ready. They said come by and we'll discuss it. Better than a straight up no.

I've got a case of it stored in my son's basement waiting for my next trip west. I've got it worked out pretty well. My daughter-in-law is from Michigan and can't get her favorite "Bells" beer out west, and we can't get the Deschutes beer here. So we do a swap. I loaded up on Bells when I went to visit thechassisman recently so I'm set.
As I understand Deschutes does not ship outside Oregon, but that may just be to states that have taxing issues. I've not tried the beer either, but have a couple bottles of it on the display shelf next to a couple bottles of the Bonus Built wine that's been talked about on here before. They're sitting there with the Marmon-Herrington hat that 1952henry gave me. Add a few model trucks and it makes a nice display.

I've bought Deschutes in Florida before. Just look up beer distributors in the yellow pages. It's amazing what they can get their hands on if you're nice to them and they feel liking helping.
Life was a lot cheaper when my favorite beer was whatever was on sale.
Julie-This isn't the kind of stuff you get in a six pack. 22oz bottles and these go for $6-$9 a bottle depending on where you find them.
I contacted the brewmaster last year and asked if they would be willing to help out with the finances if I was to have there logo painted on my doors. I love the looks of old trucks with lettering on them. Like I said, he didn't say no. I'll probably do it anyway. I really like their beer.
