2000 f 250 auto/lock hub problem

i have a problem with my auto/lock hubs on my 2000 f 250 they are binding up even in snow as i turn.told by a friend that it was the hubs.

1 besides ford dealer where can i get these hubs and is this a 30 spline?

2 i hear i can put warn lock/free hubs on it instead of lock/auto.is this true i would rather lock/free hubs.

thanks rr

Hi rick ray. Welcome to FTE!

Yes, you easily replace your automatic (ESOF) hubs with manual hubs, Warn and MM being two favorites. Click on the below link for detailed instructions.

Try lubing them before replacing them. A little bit of grease might help 'em out. Guzzle's got a great step by step write up here. If that doesn't work, replace 'em with aftermarkets.
