Seat interchangability

Looking to put 40-20-40 front seat in my truck(92 F-350), what all makes and years fit w/o modification?

Will a F-150, dodge or chevy seat work, or how about a front seat from a 97 and up ford truck work?

87 or 88 to 96 F150's and 250's, and F350's to 97 will fit without too much probs... might have too drill holes in the floor but more than likely they'll bolt right up. And the earlier truck seats might fit, 85-88 but I'm not too sure. Anything newer than that or of a diferent make ( eg: dodge/chevy) wont fit without custom brackets... also heard the newer seats (98 and up out of a ford) are a tight fit if ur puting them in a regular cab. I might be off on my years... but I'm sure I'm close...lol. hope that helps
