Could anybody provide me with the alignment specs for my '83 F-150 2wd standard cab & 8-foot bed? I need to do a budget alignment, but haven't been able to find the specs. The camber is off on both sides (excessive outer edge tire wear). I have sucessfully aligned other vehicles I have owned. By sucessful, I mean I have achieved even tire wear. I level the vehicle on stands, then use a level and circular guage to check and set. It also gives me a chance to check brakes, shocks, tie-rods, ball joints, and lube.

Hi, the tire wear you are talking about is more than likely camber adjustment and on these ford trucks it is adjusted with shims on the ends of the I-beam where the spindal mounts to the axel so there really isn't a whole lot you can do unless you know how many degrees the front end is out. John

in my experience, i have found that most of the camber problems in these trucks is due to weak front springs. it seems to cause truck to sag and get "knock knee" look with tires in at top.
if you have lots of miles or rough miles this could be cause. also ddouble check toe in while your at it.
