was on my way home from christmas and my tensioner pulley broke off. i was just wondering the easiest way to get the tensioner pulley off. it looks like a simple take out the bolt and put the new pulley on. is the bolt on the pulley a right handed thread or is it normal and what size is it. just wonderin if someone could give me some info. thanks

X2 what he said, and remember
The bolt of the belt tensioner is right handed and I think is torx T50, and the bolt for the pulley of the belt tensioner is LEFT HANDED maybe 16 mm .

I'd just replace it with a dual pulley tensioner from A SouperDooty.

Check NAPA. I replaced my tensioner with one from NAPA. It is a new design (different length).

X2 on the new tensioner dual pulley.

I've always followed the advice that you should replace the tensioner if the belt ever falls off. They can be damaged when they snap open hard, and then fail a while later at the weak spot.
