upgrade '05 seats to '06 or newer???

This may sound crazy...but I bought this 05 Escape hyrid 4wd for my wife in June '08 and she says that the only complaint is that it does not have d/s lumbar, of which the Tahoe that she used to drive w/ 213,000 miles on it is more comfortable than the newer Escape. If I am going to keep her happy I need to upgrade the seats....has anyone switched the interior or known of anyone upgrading the interior to the interior of a '06?? possibly...definitely w/ d/s lumbar and maybe p/s lumbar, front bucket seats???

Ideas and /or suggestions welcome.

No lumbar options for 09 at all. Anyway, is/was there a lumbar option with leather bucket seats? I had the lumbar in my 97 Ranger but with cloth bucket seats.

that is what I need to find out...either I will switch to the cloth front buckets and the rear cloth seat, if that is the only seats w/ the lumbar or if I can find just the d/s front I will just switch that out, I have a busy week coming up...w/ research into this for her.!!!!

I can tell you first hand that the seats in the '06 are identical to those in the '05. At least that is the case for the hybrids. I drive an '08 hybrid Escape at work and those seats seam to be a little more comfy. I don't know if they would fit due to the redesign. I think the seats in the '07 are the same as the '05 and '06.

I've never found the seats to be uncomfortable in either of mine but my normal ride is 40 minutes with the occasional two hour ride to base. I may just be used to them by now though.

Are there leather buckets w/ lumbar as an option in 05 or newer?? it seems what is comfortable for you and I is not for my wife...and you know as well as every other guy who is married, you got to keep her happy, as of right now she has the lumbar pillow which works but it would be better if it was permanent, w/in the seat. I still have to check on the seats available locally to see if they have the lumbar option w/ them, this may not pan out but it would be sweet if I could just locate a newer set w/ the options installed and just wire them up. I figured I would see if anyone else had travelled over this bridge before. Thanks for the input!
