I have to wonder what will happen to all those really old cars (the Horseless Carriage Club limits to pre-1916) when the present owners die off? I don't see any real serious interest in them by guys under 50, let alone under 30?? And frankly, while I appreciate them, and am well past 50, I'm not interested enough to keep one alive. Everyone I see driving them is well into his 60's or beyond... It would be a huge loss if they all ended up in barns or crushed into Hyundai fodder.

I know what you mean, I'm 52 and I feel like a kid when I look at these pics! I'm glad this passion is still do-able in the senior ranks. However, the older I get, it seems the older cars gain more appeal!?!

48fordcoe, since the new owners have taken over the track I don't know if they have the drive the track days or not. All preceeding years they have days if you spend 40.00 in the gift shop you get 3 laps around the track. I'll find out and let you know, Garry

Hopefully they will never see a crusher, often times I think it would be nice to own one of those gems, as long as it was past on down to me because I don't really see myself actfully looking for one. If one were to come my way I'd certainly look after it, but it would likely be better off in a museum. Hopefully most will end up that way.

I have to side with Ross, even though there are an unusually high amount of classics (pre-1932) around where I live, most all of them are elders driving them. I have neighbors in the area that drive them past my house from time to time, and I light up, but I don't own one, and will likely not get a chance to. My fave of those pics is the Bell System truck.

Amilcar is really nice, too. Ah, Heck, there all great!!

same here most the original old un's like these seem to be owned by older people with much cash flow . i'd love to have one of 'em , and the rarer the better so when i drive the snot outta it it'll truly freak someone out !!! especially when it breaks due to daily use !!!!!

I like the 28-29 Telephone truck and they were all great, Even Leno found something to take, now that's a man that does sensible things with his fortune!! Don't throw it away on Bev.Hills parties and too many house---Buy some old stuff, fix it, and drive the crap out of it
