New Rear Bumper

Hi guys, I just finished building a new rear bumper, thought I would share some photo's.

RCrawler is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
The only thing I would do differently is rectangle tubing instead of the angle iron welded together. If you have to pull sideways for some reason, your frame brackets are going to want to turn. It will either twist and
break the welds at the bumper itself. Or worst case, it will rip the bolts out of the frame horns. Square tubing into the frame will transfer some of the load into the frame rails themselves, making the mounting stronger.
I've repaired a few frames because of this.

I would have usde square tubing for the outer bumper as well to give you more surface area to weld to

Thanks Jason,

Good point about the rectangle tubing for the frame brackets. I just used what I had on hand, I didn't want to spend any money right now. But the frame brackets wouldn't have been much.

Thanks again for the tips, I will keep them in mind when I build my front bumper.
