What size tire to run.

I got a 2.5 inch leveling kit for Christmas and I would like to know what would be the best size tire to run.

I got a 2008 f150 FX4 4x4 i want to run a 35. Does a 325/65-18 come out to be a 35 or what other tires are out their that come out to be around a 35?

that is the size

recommend you only run a 305 width tire though unless you are running aftermarket rims

the 325 will fit on OEM rims, but it will be mighty close to the upper control arm

agreed. i just did the 305/65 18 BFG AT's. they fit great and are about 34" high. anything wider would be way to close to the control arm for my comfort. if you have 17's go for BFG's 315. it is closer to 35" high but slightly narrower at 12" instead of 12.2"(according to BFG site)

this is a 2"autospring kit with 305/65 18's

triple8, those tires look good on your truck, did you have to do any trimming to keep the tires from rubbing at full lock? Also, how much clearance do you have between the tire and the control arms, and do the tires stick out past the fenders?

I'd pick my tire size based on my present gear ratio. 35's may look good, but unless you change your gear ratio to compensate, you will have poor performance and gas mileage will suffer. Check the tire manufacturer's specs for fitment on stock rims. The widest tire I have seen for 7.5" wide rims is a 285 mm cross section.

i did not trim anything. with the wheels turned to be as close as possible to the fenders there is still about 1.5" of clearance to the plastic fender lip at the back and about the same to the plastic air dam under the bumper in the front. this is on flat ground. i have noticed no rubbing at full lock. as for the upper ball joint there is only about 1/2" of clearance, turned to the control arms i have not looked at.

they do not stick out either. here is a shot of the front of the truck
