Cool front end sheet metal 1953 f-100

I am having a very difficult time getting the hood and front fenders allighed.
The hood and fenders are all original that I took off. Hood sticksout about 1/2" passed the fenders. Hood fits fine @ cowl 3/16".
What am I doing wrong??

Loosen all the bolts holding the fenders and adjust them forward to meet the hood by adjusting the two rods that go from the cowl to the fender/air dam. Kind of over simplified but take it slow and you should be able to attain good alignment. And WELCOME to FTE. go back into your profile and add where you are from in case someone is close and can help you more.

Keep in mind that the hood/fender fits on the 53-56's leave alot to be desired. You will end up after, much adjusting, by compromising with an as good as possible fit.
