Battery Tender

Just wondering, is there a good place where I can tie in a battery tender to the block warmer? I want to make it so I have one plug to run both.

I would suggest getting a Y extension splitter and putting both cords inside the truck with the y sticking out. I wouldn't suggests tapping into the block heater cord.

i use a surge protector power strip.
i plug the block heater and battetry maintainer into it, turn it on, then run the power cord of the surge protector outside the truck to behind the bumper.

Battery tenders don't draw much current at all. Tapping one in to the block heater plug is fine. Here's how I did mine:

I included a switch so that I can disable the block heater, but still use the trickle charger.

Schumacher makes good products. Make sure it is weather proof if you plan to leave it on the truck.

I got this one mounted right behind the grill. It has made starting the truck so much easier. I use a Y-plug on my extension cord when I need to use both the heater and charger.

Deltron makes the "battery Tender". The last time I ordered any they had two models, a 1.25A and a 0.75A. I don't know of any others, never needed too.
