Hello all.

I have a project truck. It currently has a 4.6 Windsor engine with a rod out one side.

This truck has a Manual Transmission.

I did some research on the Net and got confused on the crankshaft bolts to flywheel.

Here is the info.. Let me know if this is correct..

1. 5.4 crank is 8 bolts?
2. Romeo engine is 8 bolts?
3. Windsor crank has 6 bolts?
4. Does the Manual flywheel have both bolt patterns?

So the question is.. "What Manual Flywheel will bolt to the 5.4 block?"

The info I found on the Net stated using the Windsor Flywheel on the 5.4 engine but how could that work?

5.4L is 8 bolt
4.6L Windsor is 8 bolt
4.6L Romeo is 6 bolt.

The Superduty 5.4L had a 6-speed so a factory flywheel is available.

Beware that the m5od never came behind the 5.4l. And will probably not withstand much abuse from the extra power of the 5.4l. Good luck with the swap, theres a few on here that have done the swap, my self included. And we know pretty much anything you need to know.
