melted Radius Arm Bushing

I have a 94 F-150 SC 4x4, I have had to replace the right radius arm bushing 3 times in the last 6 years. Has anyone else experienced this? If so is there a fix.

Is your exhaust close to this bushing? If so, a simple heat shield made from sheet metal may be an inexpensive fix.

Had the same problem with my 95 shortbed. Radius arm bushing is located extremely close to the rear cat. on the exhaust on the passenger side of the truck. Have you tried to replace with an aftermarket bushing? Maybe something from Energy Suspensions?, or other reputable aftermaarket suspension bushing company? Good Luck!

I had the same problem. I replaced mine with energy Suspension bushings and haven't had the problem since. I don't know why Ford didn't put a heat shield on the lighter duty trucks. My friend has a 94 F350 5.8,E4OD(2WD)and his truck has an extra heat shield between the cat and radius arm bushing. Maybe you could pick one of those up from a salvage yard.
