washers don't work

I have a 2002 ford escape and the washers don't work.

What fuse are the washers on?

How do I get at the washer itself if it does need replacing?

Thanks! Kevin

I don't think so. Also I don't hear the pump working. Even if the lines are clogged the pump should still make some noise, right?

Nope! When mine don't work because the liquid is frozen, I hear nothing.

It's park in a heated garage.

How can I test the pump?

Trace the hoses to back "wherever" it is and disconnect them. Try the washer, if you don't hear it run then, the pump is either defective or no power to it. You'll need a meter of some kind then to see if your getting power to it. You could ckeck the fuses to see if its on a fuse by itself too.

My 09 manual doesn't even list a fuse for the washer pump!! Unless it's vacuum operated but it's got a good hum to it when pumping which sounds more electric than vacuum operated.
