Why am i so proud of my truck?

I mean come on, it's a big noisy smelly tractor. And i couldn't love it more!!!! I just have a smile on my face all the time I am behind the wheel. Now that i have the programmer and can smoke the tires!!!! it's even more fun. I parked in a lot yesterday and there was another guy with a white 97 psd like mine and he actually got out of his truck in 15 degree weather and came across the lot to say " nice truck!" This is better than the jeep thing crap. Are Chevy and Dodge guys this brand happy? I had a gas 1500 ram with a 360 that was a decent truck but it was just a conveyance. This one is a real truck!!!

Is there something wrong with me? Am i a complete dork? Some nights when i am driving i just want to keep going till i run out of money for fuel just to see where i end up and what my mpg was.

I'm in love with an 11 year old truck with almost 215k miles on it now!

same much of the time. i used to just get out and cruise the strip sometimes till no one is out anymore. its an awesome feeling getting thumbs up from guys in 2008 strokes and big custom rigs. i love cruising on the nights they have Summer Nights Cruise in Somerset, cause people line the streets, burnouts are LEGAL, cops watch you do them! and theres over 1500 antique and custom cars in town. and still yet, these old powerstrokes get tons of thumbs up.

I too am proud to be a citizen of Dorkburgh.
The compliments come at the most unexpected places, too. Like parking lots.
I mean, if I went to a truck show or some other form of exhibition, I'd expect an occasional "nice truck"; but to just get the random compliment is really a compliment!

I get the rubber kneckin', head turnin' and stares all the time as well. Its usually in odd places too. The buggy pushers at wal-mart, the guy loading lumber at home depot, at the fast food window, people pumping gas when I go buy a station. Gotta love it. What I really like is when people hear something, turn around to see what it is and then stare.

Driving a powerstroke is pretty awesome. I've got a couple complements from the girls at college on my truck and a few stares if i stomp on it in the parking lot. Even had a guy at the drive through who was impressed with how loud it was. Bottom line, I will never drive anything besides a powerstroke.
