While strolling through a Ford truck lot this afternoon I noticed that new F550s have a similar if not the exact same dash and/or interior as the 2004 F250 I'm looking to purchase. I'm at least sure that the new F550 dash doesn't look anything like the new F250 dash. Seems strange.

 

It's a commercial truck, not a fancy grocery getter?

 

It just seemed strange that Ford would make 2 sets of interiors for the same cab. At least I'm assuming the cab on the current F250 is the same as the F550.

 

they have always been the same...idk what u are talking about...08 dashes are the same 250-550...05-07 250-550 dashes the same...not 100 % but 99-04 250-550 dashes the same...even the 650 and 750's are pretty much the same as the smaller trucks

 

I don't know when changes were made to the F250 dashes but as I said before, the F550 (chassis cab) that I saw had the same or very similar dash to the one in the '04 F250 that I was looking to purchase. The F550 dash didn't look anything like the one in the current model F250.

 

I just popped over to the Ford commercial truck site and dang if someday wasn't spot on. The F550 dash is the same as the current F250. I swear that I wasn't smokin' anything when walking around the dealers lot yesterday.

 

maybe it was NEW old stock.. ???

could have been a 2007 carry over. or even a transition truck.. one made with the leftover 2007 parts but a early 08 model ???

 

That's it precisely. I was back at the dealership this morning and took another look. All of the older style dashes were new old stock '07s. The '08s had the newer style dashes.

 

I own both 350/650. Even though the Lariat package is a little diff, other than the guages, the dash is exact on my 650. 04'/05' respectively.
