I would like to do a bit of both. I want to major in diesel technology and buy and OTR dump truck and haul asphalt. My dad is an excavation owner/operator and my step dad is a driver. I love both jobs so I thought I'd combine them!

 

I am with you Garret and Payton. I love working on diesels wouldn't mind driving one but only once in a while. Sometimes diesel noise can get on my nerves. But of everything I would much rather work on Motorcycles I want to become a motorcycle mechanic I never get tired of motorcycles.

After I major in Diesel I'll probably work on em til my kids are out of the roost then I'll probably drive a truck.

 

My first car was my dad's '02 Ford Taurus, it's not technically mine, but he's thinking about giving it to me. My first truck, is the truck I'm trying to buy now. It's an '88 Ford F-150 with a 351 2-WD. It's got about 107k miles on it so it's not in terrible condition.

Im 19 and bought my first vehicle this year! A 1985 Ford F150 with a 4 speed granny

 

My first vehicle which I still have is a 1980 Ford Ranger F150 XLT Super Cab. 351 Cleveland with a Edelbrock Proformer 400 Intake, and a Holley carb on top. It is also 4WD has original lock in hubs. The front has a 3:55 gear ratio and the rear is posi. I am very proud of it, as you can tell.

 

I brought my first one last November at 14. 1987 F-150. 302 small block, 2WD manual. I never got to drive it. I sold it about 2 months after I brought it. I bought it knowing the pump in one tank was bad but the other was good. I tried to make it run with the front tank but found out the hard way the fuel selector seal was leaking all the gas it was pumping under the cab. Wish I had kept it but I was out of money. I paid $500 for it not knowing if it would run. Put $101 dollars into it and sold it for $600. So I lost a dollar. Didn't have it long enough to register it. Now I'm 15 and trying to buy a '95 F-250 I've had my eye on

 

hey there truck guy, if ya got enough cash id look at the mid 90's f150s with the good ol 5.0 theres a bunch around that are in good shape for a decent price... and they run great. lots of torque.. if I was going to buy a truck that would be the one. or else a 7.3L...

 

Garrett I agree those are very nice trucks I wish I could find an OBS ford cheap and 4x4.

I drove my dad's spare 1996 F-150 single cab long bed 4x4 5.0 for two years while in high school and then my grandparents got me a 2000 F-150 Supercab 4x4 5.4 that I drive now as a graduation gift.

 

My first vehicle was a 98 GMC 1500 longbed, it's kinda broken now but i plan on fixing it.

 

My first was a 1959 Chevy Apache Fleetside truck. It had a 300 straight six with a Rochester 1 barrel carb and 3 speed on the column. And the starter was a peg in the floor that looked kinda like a railroad spike. It was 15 years old when I got it and had already been converted from 6 volt to 12. Still had the vacuum operated windshield wipers. Wish I had it back.
