1985 F150 2 wd with some funky hubcaps and running boards. I spent $40 a week driving around with my bros and that was when gas was less than $1 per gallon. The best part was I got the truck for $1 from my uncle, and he made me pay!!!!!
First car was an '88 thunderbird turbo coupe! Had a 1950 ford F1 at the same time i was working on! Had the original flat head bored .100 over! Still have it too! Just wish i had the money to fix it!
Thanks! I've had it since I was 15. And yours will as long as you buy quality products and put work into it.
I've also rebuilt and upgraded the engine, and trans, as well as a solid axle swap.
We've had ours since we got married in 1985, it was our first new vehicle. We will keep it as long as we can, probably pass it on to our son. I always try to use original equipment or better. It is pretty much original, with a few minor changes. I am in the process of body work and painting right now. Since I have no carport or garage, I am doing everything outside. I have mechanical experience, but am teaching myself body and paint as I go along. I have found a really good local company for my primer and paint; Home
and they have an awesome forum too, much like this one; SPI User Forums
