Y'know - I begin to think that having stepped in it this deep I really can't avoid another contest/show. But how to make it smoother?
I learned a lot on this last one, and it's easier than I thought to make them really cool. If I bail on them though; who the hell will do them? I've messed up again and with classic style!

I thought about the gallery linked notion at length (since posting it) and wondered if it should have been done from the start. THE FIRST POST is the key, everything after it is sort of random. I DO know how to make the first post both post linked, and gallery linked.
It is appearances that puzzle me a bit now. How to make it all look professional... Use the space available in a way that makes it neat and easy to navigate, appear like a page on a website, and not overcomplicate the whole works.
Looking back, I can see clear stages of development. This is about generation IV. The "IMAGE IN POLL" idea was a mindblast....
Earlier I tried "LINKS in POLLS" but it caused problems and should be avoided.
As frustrated as I have been at times, I can see a generation V of these that incorporates everything I've found so far. Wish me luck if I do go there - a new topic for a next contest would need to be dreamed up.
