Homemade hydraulic assist for 79 F250 4x4...any info appreciated

I've read up on modifying F150 4x4 steering boxes to control hydraulic assist. I've got a 79 F250 4x4 (maybe F350, not sure yet) with the good steering box on the inside of the frame with 4 bolts. Looks like this one.

I've read up on modifying F150 4x4 steering boxes to control hydraulic assist. Here's some links on it.

This guy has some other cool builds, just click on his name (Zach Kohl) top left and scroll down.

I want to run this setup with my F250 box. If anyone has done this already, please share info/pics. If not, I really need any diagrams/info/experience in rebuilding, so I can pioneer this with my $150 steering box.

I did it to mine. Just tear the box down Drill the holes & tap them, not much to it. The biggest thing is getting the cylinder mounted.

My main question is where to drill/tap on this style box? I did notice that they are very similar in the "main gear" area above the bolt pattern. Are the internals the same, or at least close enough for this application?
Also, is there any benifit to having a double ended ram over a single?
I'm also converting to crossover high steering, will that complicate this modification at all? Thanks.
