The Ford mans curse!!

Why is it that us Ford guys get so much crap??? I dont care where you go there is always someone that says something along the lines of, "Well its a Ford blah blah!" Why is it cool to be a chevy guy and dodge guy and if your a ford guy you have a problem. Especially from people who arent brand loyal. My neighbor who is a good friend of mine just got rid of his 2005 chevy- ( broken transnission/driveshaft etc) and buys a new dodge. He still thinks its funny making the stupid ford comments about my 89 bronco. Am I crazy but has ford always outsold everyone in the truck department??

I dont sit by my computer and talk crap.(smiggs) My neighbor is close to getting punched in the head. I think plenty of guys on here will agree. You dont mess with a guy and his truck!! I guess its different in different parts of the states though. My buddy in Kentucky says that everyone around there loves fords trucks.

they rag on fords because our old pos trucks still run year after year with just regular maintenance, while their gold plated better than god trucks fall apart after 3-4 years.

Why complain about them ragging on our Fords. We will have the last laugh. When you pass them on the road while they are broke down just wave and laugh your butt off. Count how many chevys and dodges you see broke down every day, you will be amazed. Yes you do see a few older model fords sitting there too, but i think the mileage on them say it all. You are going to break down once in a while. But I love it when i only break down after 150K.

i really like the dodge boy a few streets away. every chance he gets, he rags on fords when i am in earshot.

usually i just ignore him, but the other day, i politely gave him both barrels.
while he was spewing his B.S. to someone how fords were junk, and the dodge with the come-apart was the best thing since buttered bread, i walked over to him, and said this:
"if fords are such garbage, and dodges with the come-aparts are so fantastic, why is it that my truck is 20 years old, has never seen the inside of a dealership, and only requires routine oil and filter changes, while your P.O.S. dodge with it's come-apart has been back to the dealer for repair 9 times, and has spent 19 months of the 4 years you have owned it in for repairs??"

he had no answer as i walked away, with everyone in the store laughing at him.

I WANT people to rag on Fords because I like getting parts and trucks for cheap.

My Chevy-driving Ford-disliking buddy sends me the good deals on Ford parts and organ-donor trucks, and I send him Chevy stuff. We have a friend we send the Dodge junk to.

I don't care what people think of what I drive and there is no reason I should. My friends are welcome to disagree with my choices.

Anyone else is welcome to stick their head in a wood chipper if they don't care for how I do business. I don't care about them at all (unless I can sell them something) let alone what they think. Life is too short to be concerned with trivia like that.

EXACTLY!!!
with friends, it is just joking around. we know that all trucks are built for a specific purpose.
G.M.'s to ride like cars, Dodges to ride like crap and fall apart, and Fords to work!!

I think it was meant to be a laugh, not a "stop crying." That may be why he put the laughing smilie at the end.

Ford's outsell Chevy and they last forever. People see more old POS Fords on the road and probably assume they are just POS's, not realizing that they are still on the road because they are still running. Why buy a new truck every couple of years when you need a truck to haul, tow and deliver? Not to mention, a paid off truck is better to have than a new car payment evey few years.

Still my idea of the perfect Ford commercial:
Guy with Ford to Dodge owner as he is pulling the Dodge truck out of deep mud: "Hey, that thing got a hemi?"

Actually The F150 is the only Ford truck that's out sells Chevy, some times the explorer. remember GM owns 60%+ of the truck market. In all fairness I see the same amount of old GM as do fords trucks on the road. You need the learn something Dodge,Ford and Gm guys are all the same you just don't hear yourself.
