33x12.5R15's on 7.5"wide rim

My 95 F150 has a 4" Procomp lift and 33x10.5R15 on the factory 10 hole aluminum 15 x 7.5"wide rims
I really like the rims and want to know if i can run the 12.5" wide tires safely on these rims
Is this dangerous or will it just prematurely wear the middle of the tires a bit?
thanks

You should be able to run them no problem. I have 16 x 7 rims and had 38x13 swampers on them and now have 35x12.5 pro comps on with zero problems

I'm running a 14.5" on a 9.75" rim and it works ok, but I'd like it better with a 12" rim. Your difference is 5" and I don't like that, I'd call some local tire shops and ask them just to be safe.

I liked my stock 7.5" rims also and wanted to put 33x12.50x15's BFG All Terrains on them. After doing some research and making some calls I bought 15x8 rims. BFG recomends a minimum rim width of 8" for 12.50 tires. It's a safety issue and they will not honor the tire warranty if the rim is smaller.

I have 33 x 12.5 on my factory 7.5" rim. The only problem is that there is not enough back spacing so the tires hit the Radius arms at full turn. No biggie, I just don't turn as hard anymore. You could put longer studs and wheel spacers in, but I wouldn't really recommend that if you plan on going off road. Oh, by the way, I only raised my truck by 2" to fit them. I got longer coils and rear add-a-leafs from JC Whitney, then shimmed my front bumper out about 3/4". Good Luck
