Oil Temp Gauge for Mercury Mariner Hybrid

Does anyone know if there is an adapter (sandwich block) that would fit the oil filter for a Mercury Mariner Hybrid, 2007? Idea is to attach the oil temp sensor to the adapter, etc. the only other temp indicator in the vehicle is a water temp warning lite, not good enough for me.

ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool

im not sure about the oil gauge but if you like your gauges then this might interest you. i think the only gauge this wont read is the oil but you can get a vast set of other gauges though for 169 bucks.
