MSD Distributor

Am lusting for the MSD distributor. The $400 price tag is intimidating though. Has anyone here used this unit on a Y?

Why not use a petronix ignitor?
If tou want the ability to use a CD system you can utalize the petronix 2.
I pet a petronix 1 in with a stock coil and noticed a great improvment in starting and power. If I were to add a HP coil and mess with my plugs Im sure id see a gain yet again.

Hello

I just purchased a MSD 8383 ready to run plus blaster 2 coil for $446 to get rid of the old stuff.
But according to several people, petronix 2 in combination with the coil works great also.
I'm building my engine just once, and decided for the best, but that's just my opinion.
I think for a stock engine, petronix is a great replacement.
For the max go MSD I would say.
