Ditto, WIX are excellent high quality filters. Using them for years, never a problem.

That's good info! I've always thought fram were one of the best filters, goes to show what an agressive tv advertisement campaign will do. Of course I should have known, due to the fact that Fram offers 3-4 levels of filter for the same vehic. I know another filter that I will never use (again) is the STP. Bought my wife a new '07 Santa Fe Limited last year. It was a new design for '07 so of course I had a hard time finding a new filter for it's first oil chnge. Ended up getting a STP from Autozone. After about a week I noticed that it was leaking oil. I pulled the filter off and compared the o-ring that it came with to the original, it was about half the thickness as the original. Went to O'Reilly's where they sold me a WIX and sure enough the o-ring was the same as the original.

I'll also add that Wix appears to have changed their oil filters from white to black within the last year or so, but I'm 99.99% sure they only make one 'line' of filter...the good ones. At first I just thought it might've been something they did for Napa, since that's pretty much where I get them thru, but I checked their website recently and I see my filter in black there too, but the photo of the 2 quart version is still white.

I only mention it to avoid any confusion incase you run across them is both colors.

I remember seeing just a plain white filter and they were fairly cheap, so I figured that they were just some cheapo brand, although I knew that they were a sponsor of nascar.

Yeah, they used to look kinda plain with a simple logo...but someone in marketing probably figured they needed a facelift. As long as they don't change the internals I can't complain...although the white certainly helped to spot a leaker a little easier.

That's progress for ya...
