Injectors??

I have a 2002, 6cyl. with approximately 175 000 KM's..... after the engine starts, the rpm's drop for a split second, almost enough to stall the engine, then they pick up to a normal level. This only happens when the temperature is below -10 degrees C. Also, If I shut the car off and immediatley restart, it starts normally.

Today, after sitting plugged in all day (-40 degrees C.) it fired, then immdeiatley stalled. I then cranked it over again and it started with no problem.

It seems that after it gets the initial surge of fuel it's fine. One member suggested that they are equipped with a cold start injector, maybe my injectors need cleaning?

By the way... this problem seemed to happen after I changed the plugs, maybe it's a coincidence? Thanks for the advise.

Have you ever replaced the IAC?

I just cleaned the IAC after reading some posts about similiar problems and....it looks like that was it. I'll see if the cleaning will do the trick or if I will need to replace it.

Thanks,

I'm not sure about inexpensive, the OEM one is $160.00 cdn. As for an after-market?? Howewver, it was definately the problem because it's back to normal; keeping my fingers crossed.
