If that's what you had in mind I suggest you not do it, at least not as a permanent installation. That was a glycerine filled gauge and it lasted less than 1 round trip to work and back home (46 miles) There are just to many pulses and pressure spikes from the mechanical fuel pump and the gauge self destructed. For a temp gauge to check pressure an extension hose for a grease gun works well to absorb the pulses. For a perm installation you could add some type of restrictive orifice in the fittings or line to cut down on the pulses. A small ball valve in line that's just barely open will do the same thing.

An in line snubber will save the gauge from self destructing.
