So why are diesel prices so low?

Here in 96001 land diesel bounced off 2.059 three days ago to 2.179 and now 2.149.... I guess people aren't heating their homes this year cause I haven't seen media references to home heating oil demand pressures! People seem to be spending longer at petro stations now than last summer , maybe it didn't feel like lots of fun back then! There is a station a bit up the road that is still trying to get 2.659 but for some reason there aren't many vehicles are at their pumps!!

I love gasbuddy anyone know of a similar site for diesel prices?

Diesel is still $2.69 here...getting close to being $1 more per gallon than regular gas, again. sigh.

$2.37 around my house in metro Atlanta but gasbuddy says it can be had in other parts of town for $2.09 to $2.25.
If that's dirt cheap for you then feel free to send me a couple hundred gallons - it won't go to waste!

87 octane here is $1.59 a gallon and diesel is $2.29 a gallon.

My take on the reason why fuels are down is the overall decline of the economy. With the feds printing money around the clock the dollar is losing value very quickly.

Homes are dropping in value, new and used vehicles are dropping in value, stocks have dropped big time.

Right now the farmers have used up what there going to need for the 08 season and if they had money left over bought for the Spring 09 plant.

And we have a lot of gallons of fuel sitting around right now, some 300+ million barrells.

IMO, of course.

Would you be included?? Average people steal from poor people...rich people steal from average people, and we're now finding out there are rich (Medoff) people stealing from rich people!

Several trillions of debt are being stuck to the taxpayer as we are enjoying this wonderful season... IT WILL SURE BE NICE TO SEE THIS CRIMINAL CRISTIAN COALITION IN OUR REARVIEW MIRRORS NEXT YEAR!! 2008 WILL GO DOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST YEARS EVER FOR THIEVES AND WORST EVER FOR WEALTH DESTRUCTION. Or maybe you haven't noticed.

Check this out, I was watching news and they said that OPEC is lowering the production of oil...guess they too realised the prices are going down...so lets cut the supply that way we can charge more per barrel, pricks!
