What's the Largest Tire You Run On Stock 17"s
I am on the line here. I am thinking of sending my stock XLT rims out for black powder coating or purchasing new rims & tires. I have the Truxx 2.5 front leveling kit , and I am waiting to finish wearing out my tires before I make my final decision (almost there) Lots of options out there but I would like to know the max. size on the stock rims ? Any photos would help also! THANKS

Yes for 4x4 trucks. Most manufacturers recommend an 8.5" wide wheel atleast for a 12.5" tire. Stock wheels are 7.5" wide. But a ton of people do it on lots of different trucks. Worst case, you'll wear down the center of the tread a little quicker than the outside edges.
Keep in mind a 35x12.50 on stock wheels will rub at full steering lock, so you'll have to adjust your driving in tight spaces. A wheel with less backspacing would prevent rubbing on the frame and control arms at full lock, but would probably cause slight rubbing on the back of the front fender and would require some trimming.
