BFGoodrich MTs in Snow?

I just got a 79 F250 4x4 with 16" stock wheels and narrow BFGoodrich Mud Terrains on it. I'd say they are 75% or better tread. I'm looking at putting a snow plow on this truck and wondered if anyone had any experience with these tires in snow. I've run out a couple sets of the A/Ts on my Bronco and different pickups, and they always did good for me in bad weather. Just wondered if the M/Ts were as good, or should I be looking at something else for use in the winter?

I brother has a 1995 Ford F150 with 33 inch BFGoodrich MTs, we both use the truck with those tires year round and in 4 whell drive the truck is awsome in the snow, but in 2 whell it gets stuck alot. If you have a 4 Whell drive truck your set, if not, better get snowtires.
